Australian Skiing | Ski Equipment Checklist
Share
What do you need to prepare before skiing? As a professional ski club, we provide you with a checklist. Beginners only need to prepare 1️⃣ and 2️⃣, and the club provides rental or sale for all other items.
1️⃣ Change of clothes for the corresponding number of days, toothbrush + toothpaste
2️⃣ Base layer: quick-drying top and pants. If unavailable, yoga wear/wool products/polyester products can be substituted. Avoid pure cotton thermal underwear.
3️⃣ Mid-layer: thin down jacket/vest for the upper body. Not needed if your ski jacket is insulated. No mid-layer needed for the lower body, as it can get too warm.
4️⃣ Outer layer: ski jacket + ski pants + ski gloves
5️⃣ Helmet + ski goggles + ski protective gear
6️⃣ Ski socks: A blend of polyester and wool provides the best wicking and breathability. Ski socks are all long-tube design to prevent chafing. Avoid wearing everyday socks.
7️⃣ Ski boots + skis + ski poles (for double planks)
8️⃣ Face mask: The UV radiation in Australia is very strong, and skiing is often accompanied by snowfall and strong winds, so a face mask is recommended.

Club provides:
1️⃣ Earplugs, no more fear of noise even in shared rooms
2️⃣ Bath towel + shampoo + conditioner + shower gel + facial cleanser
3️⃣ Sunscreen
4️⃣ Coffee + tea bags
5️⃣ First aid kit
