How to purchase tickets
You can search for Perisher on Google, or directly visit perisher.com.au to purchase tickets on the official website. Select the LIFT TICKETS category.
🔗 Please look for the official booking link; do not trust third-party purchasing services.
Purchase Date: Other than the day of departure, for example, if joining a ski tour from June 12-16, purchase tickets for other dates as needed, excluding the departure date of June 12.
✅ Mountain Access Card is a lift pass, similar to a public transport card. If you don't have one, you need to purchase it. It can be reloaded and reused, and the team leader will assist with card collection.
❌ Skitube Add On is for the mountain train. We go directly to the ski field entrance, so no purchase is needed.
Ticket Price Reference
Single-day ticket: Purchase in advance. Off-peak season adults approximately $190/day, peak season approximately $240/day; child tickets are about 55% of the adult price ⬇️
Half-day ticket: Morning session 8:30-13:00, afternoon session 12:00-17:00. Only slightly cheaper than a single-day ticket. If you are new to skiing and unsure of your ability, you can buy a half-day ticket, but it offers relatively low value ⬇️

Multi-day ticket: Consecutive purchases have a lower average price. It is recommended to book in advance for discounts; on-site purchases are full price ⬇️

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: For a first-time skier, should I choose snowboarding or skiing?
This is one of our most frequently asked questions. Based on Perisher's trail characteristics and years of experience guiding beginner groups, our advice for most first-timers is:
👉 For your first time skiing, we recommend trying snowboarding (Snowboard) first.
The reasons are simple:
⛷️ Skiing involves sliding down the mountain. Beginners can easily get nervous and lose control once they pick up speed, sliding faster and faster, and potentially twisting their knees when they fall.
🏂 Snowboarding involves sliding sideways. As long as you learn basic braking techniques, you can usually control your speed quite quickly. Even if you feel too fast, you can simply sit down and stop, which is more beginner-friendly.
📌 Our recommendations:
• If you haven't decided what you want to ski long-term → we recommend trying snowboarding first.
• If you're determined to learn skiing → we suggest getting a coach and not trying to learn by yourself.
Q: For a first-time skier, do I need to buy a lift pass?
Many people say, "Beginners don't need to buy a lift pass, since they can't ski anyway." This statement isn't entirely wrong, but it depends on the situation.
If you just want to:
❄️ See the snow, take pictures, and experience it a little
❄️ Don't want to find a coach, and no one is guiding you
Then it's probably not advisable to buy a lift pass.
However, if you are serious about learning to ski and have professional guidance:
👉 Practicing on the mountain is the fastest way to truly learn to ski.
We will teach basic movements, deceleration methods, and give advice on trails for free. Most dedicated beginners can actually start skiing independently on the first day.
