Powder snow resort

 

01 Hakuba Happo-One

Happo-one, located on Mount Karamatsu in Hakuba Village , was built in 1958. It opens in early December every year and lasts until early May of the following year . The snow depth in a single season can reach 2-3 m , with the most abundant snow in mid- January . The snow is dry and soft, and the deep forest and snow-back experience are excellent.

At the cable car station at an altitude of 1,831 m , you can see the Hakuba Three Peaks, Myoko, Asama, Yatsugatake and other mountains in the distance. The scenery is even more stunning on a sunny day. There are 13 snow trails (including an 8 km long run ) and a total of about 52 km of snow slopes.

 

 

02 White Horse Five Dragons & White Horse 47

Goryu and Hakuba 47 are connected by mid- and high - level cable cars and chairlifts. A single Hakuba Valley pass covers both areas without the need for a second ticket check .

The Toomi slope at the top of Goryu Mountain is gentle and wide, with excellent snow quality, suitable for intermediate skiers to practice frequent circles. The night ski slope at the bottom is open until 21:30 every night, and you can enjoy 1-2 hours of skiing fun under the stars . 47 contains a large number of forest areas, and many Tree Runs are directly connected to the entrance by chairlifts, which saves effort and allows direct access to the deep snow forest belt.

 

 

03Tsugaike Plateau Ski Resort

It is known as the " Powder Heaven " for its rolling mountains and excellent snow quality , attracting powder snow enthusiasts from all over the world to experience deep forest adventures and spacious practice venues.

Tsugaike's unique "Tsuga Pow" powder snow area has dense forest trails and a primitive charm. It feels like you are in a fairy tale forest while sliding

 

04Iwatake Snow Resort

Iwatake Resort is located on the hillside of Hakuba Valley , adjacent to Happo-One, the main venue of the Olympics. On a clear day, you can enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery of the Three Mountains of Hakuba.

The venue has multiple Tree Skiing areas, with pristine and continuous powder snow in the forest, which is even more quiet and fun in windy and snowy weather. Yoo-Hoo mountain swing and Mountain Harbor's City Bakery viewing cafe provide excellent snow mountain views and Internet celebrity food experience

 

05Cortina Ski Resort

Located at the northernmost end of Hakuba Valley, a notable feature of Cortina Ski Resort is its open tree run area, which allows skiers to slide freely in the vast forest, which is relatively rare in Japanese ski resorts. .

At the same time, snow cat skiing is also a major feature. You can take a snow cat to the deep mountains to check in the unmanned powder snow.
