Powder Paradise
01 Hakuba Happo-One
Happo-one, located on Mount Karamatsu in Hakuba Village, was built in 1958. It opens in early December each year and remains open until early May of the following year, with seasonal snow depths reaching 2–3 m, and mid-January being the peak snow period. The snow quality is dry, soft, and offers excellent deep snow and backcountry experiences.

From the cable car station at an altitude of 1,831 m, you can overlook Hakuba's three peaks, Myoko, Asama, Yatsugatake, and other mountain ranges. The view on a clear day is even more breathtaking, with 13 runs (including an 8 km super-long run) and a total of approximately 52 km of groomed slopes.
02 Hakuba Goryu & Hakuba 47
Hakuba Goryu and Hakuba 47 are interconnected by mid-to-high-level cable cars and chairlifts. A single Hakuba Valley pass covers both resorts, eliminating the need for re-ticketing.

The Toomi slope at the top of Goryu is gentle and wide, with excellent snow quality, suitable for intermediate skiers to practice high-frequency turns. The night skiing slope at the bottom is open until 9:30 PM daily, offering 1–2 more hours of fun under the stars. Hakuba 47 has extensive tree skiing areas, with multiple Tree Runs accessible directly from chairlifts, saving effort and leading directly into deep snow forests.
03 Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort
Known as a "Powder Heaven" due to its sprawling mountains and excellent snow quality, attracting powder enthusiasts from around the world to experience deep forest adventures and gentle practice areas.

Tsugaike's unique "Tsuga Pow" powder snow area features dense tree runs, rich in pristine charm, making skiing feel like an adventure in a fairytale forest.
04 Iwatake Snow Resort
Iwatake Resort, nestled on the hillside of Hakuba Valley, adjacent to the Olympic main venue Happo-one, offers stunning views of the Hakuba Sanzan mountains on clear days.

The resort features multiple Tree Skiing areas, where the powder snow in the forest is pristine and continuous, offering tranquility and fun during snowy weather. The Yoo-Hoo mountain-top swing and the Mountain Harbor’s City Bakery observation cafe provide exceptional mountain views and popular foodie experiences.
05 Cortina Ski Resort
Located at the northernmost tip of Hakuba Valley, a prominent feature of Cortina Ski Resort is its open tree skiing area, allowing skiers to freely ski through extensive forests, which is relatively rare among Japanese ski resorts. .
Additionally, snowcat skiing is a major highlight here, where you can take a snowcat into the deep mountains to experience untouched powder snow.
06 Rusutsu Ski Resort
Rusutsu Ski Resort is Hokkaido's largest ski resort, located on the southwest side of Hokkaido. It is a familiar ski destination for enthusiasts and a world-selected ski resort, having won the title of "Japan's Best Ski Resort" multiple times.

This resort is massive, offering not only world-class ski slopes but also exciting snow banana boating and sledding activities. It features three mountains, 4 gondolas, 14 chairlifts, and over 37 ski runs.
